GENERAL ENERGY CORPORATION was founded in 1950. The company was then called Energy Control Engineering Corp.

The firm marketed equipment utilizing natural gas and propane, a new source of energy in this area of the country. Soon many firms were converting to this new source of energy, from heavy oil and coal burning equipment.
